To provide a positive, loving and enriched preschool environment, free of charge, that fosters the social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth of children who are socially and/or economically at-risk.

Wee Care will provide children with a solid preschool foundation, better enabling them to succeed in all facets of their lives. We will give children the tools they need to reach their full potential once they enter a formal educational environment.

Our Goals:

• Enroll ten two-year-old children in year one, offering educational stability by teaching these same children for three 136-day school years.
• Create a fully integrated, age-appropriate and language-enriched curriculum, including: play, songs, books, social interaction, imaginative role play, outdoor time, exploration, weekly field trips and experiential learning.
• Provide daily transportation to and from Wee Care for all students.
• Offer movement, music and art classes taught by experienced, qualified instructors.
• Supply well-balanced, nutritious snacks and lunches to provide energy and promote brain development.
• Secure Big Brother/Big Sister mentors to serve as role models in elementary school.
• Help students develop conflict-resolution skills and a strong sense of independence and self-assurance.
• Educate students’ families, offering opportunities to engage in their child’s experience.
• Provide curriculum-related materials for at-home enrichment to all families.
• Provide services free of charge by soliciting donations and grants to fund Wee Care operations.
